The Origin of
Innings Through Time
Chris’ love for the great baseball movies of yesterday and today got him to realize there has never been a definitive baseball movie or story, a baseball story that is always referred to as the greatest. Other genre’s have their own. Some feel the greatest science fiction movie of all time is Star Wars. Some feel the greatest musical is Singing In The Rain. Some feel the greatest love story of all time is Gone With The Wind. But there has never been ‘the greatest’ baseball movie or story, there has always been great ones, but never The Greatest.
Chris then took two years of researching and reading every classic baseball story he could get his hands on. He also revisited all of his favorite baseball movies. What he did next was take the single running theme in each of these stories and combined them ALL into one compelling and exciting epic adventure entitled Innings Through Time.
As listed on this site as well as on the back cover of the book are some of the challenges he had to overcome to achieve the ultimate goal of possibly creating the greatest baseball story ever told.
Ten Times More Mystical than ‘Field of Dreams.’
Greater Love Story than ‘Pride of the Yankees.’
More Psychological Intensity than ‘Fear Strikes Out.’
More Inspiring than ‘The Jackie Robinson Story.’
More Emotional than ‘Bang the Drum Slowly.’
More Magical than ‘The Natural.’
Most who have read Innings Through Time all agree that it IS the greatest baseball story they’ve ever read, including Brooklyn Dodger pitcher and NY Yankee General Manager Clyde King who has read more books on baseball than anyone.
But don’t take our word for it. See for yourself. And it’s not JUST a baseball story. It is a lot of things. If you like a good adventure, suspense, intrigue, a good love story, nostalgia, and mystery, all wrapped within a twilight zone mystical feel, you’ll love Innings Through Time. We also guarantee you’ll have no clue as to what the ending is until you get there!
